The Admin Corner: “Only in America” and Office 365

Microsoft has done a great job of promoting its newest flavor of hosted Exchange, SharePoint and Lync and on June 28th Office 365 will finally go live.

To promote the event further the US Office 365 team is sponsoring the voyage of a Boston Whaler named “Only in America” on a journey up the eastern coast. The crewmen are outfitted with Office 365 technologies (including an OIA SharePoint Online site) during their trip to show that, whether on land or at sea, any business can run on Microsoft Cloud services.

The crew will use all the features of Office 365 (through their Windows 7 Phones) to keep their sponsors, fans, friends and families up to date on the journey.  They will also stop at ports along the way and host events.  June 17th they’ll be in Philadelphia.  June 28th in New York.  To keep up with the crew you can follow the site or see what is happening through Twitter @MSCloudJago or @OIA_Spirit7 or on Facebook here or through the boat live web cam

In addition, ClipTraining’s J. Peter Bruzzese has written quite a bit about Office 365 and his latest article on InfoWorld is about enhancements to the security solution in place called Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE) that you can read up on here:
